Cookie Policy
Last updated: June 17, 2026
This Cookie Policy explains how AgriForge ("we," "us") uses cookies and similar technologies on the marketing site (agriforge.farm) and web application (app.agriforge.farm). It supplements our Privacy Policy.
1. What these technologies are
- Cookies are small text files stored on your device by your browser.
- Local storage / session storage are browser stores we use to keep you signed in and to remember preferences (for example, your theme choice — Dark or High-contrast).
- Similar technologies include pixels and SDKs that perform comparable functions.
We refer to all of these as "cookies" below.
2. Why we use them
Because AgriForge uses passwordless sign-in, we rely on cookies and browser storage primarily to keep you securely signed in and to make the app work — not to track you across the web. We use them to:
- Authenticate and maintain your session after you enter your one-time code, and keep you signed in between visits;
- Remember preferences such as your selected theme and recently used views;
- Keep the Service secure (e.g., detecting abnormal sign-in activity and preventing fraud); and
- Understand and improve usage through basic, privacy-respecting first-party measurement. We do not currently use a third-party analytics provider.
3. Categories of cookies we use
| Category | Purpose | Examples / provider | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| Strictly necessary | Sign-in, session continuity, security, load balancing | Session token and security cookies set by AgriForge | Session / up to 12 months |
| Preferences | Remember theme (Dark/High-contrast), layout and view choices | Local storage keys | Until cleared |
| Analytics (optional) | Aggregate usage to improve the Service | Not currently used | — |
We do not currently use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
4. Third-party cookies
Some features rely on third parties that may set their own cookies when used, including:
- Payment processing at checkout (Stripe);
- Maps and satellite imagery in the fields view (Google Maps); and
- Hosting and content delivery (DigitalOcean).
These third parties process data under their own privacy and cookie policies.
5. Your choices
- Strictly necessary cookies are required for the Service to function and cannot be switched off without breaking sign-in and core features.
- Analytics and other non-essential cookies. We do not currently use non-essential or cross-site tracking cookies, so we do not present a cookie consent banner. If we introduce them, we will update this policy and provide appropriate controls.
- Browser controls. You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings. Blocking necessary cookies or clearing local storage will sign you out and may prevent parts of the Service from working.
6. Changes
We may update this Cookie Policy as our practices or technologies change. We will post the updated version with a new "Last updated" date.
